Scholarship and Financial Aid Information

Financial Aid

Financial Aid

Be sure to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as October 1st of your senior year. This is a necessary step in qualifying for all need-based scholarships and grants. Also, many colleges, universities, and career schools use your FAFSA information to award state and college aid. The process is free. Never pay to apply for federal financial aid.

Some colleges and universities also require a CSS profile that can be completed on the College Board websiteThere is a fee from College Board, so make sure your school requires it.

Scholarships

Check out our very own Wekiva Scholarship Database. This database is maintained by our College and Career Counselor and is updated frequently. Our Wekiva scholarship database contains both local and national  scholarships.

Please remember to read the qualifications to each scholarship as it is important to spend your time only applying to the ones for which you feel you are uniquely qualified.

FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES

Get an up-to-date description of the Florida Bright Futures scholarship program. Be aware that the requirements vary according to your graduation year.

Our experience has shown us that the majority of financial aid comes directly from the schools that accept you. Many schools automatically consider you for their foundation scholarships, but others require a separate application. Visit the financial aid website of your college frequently for updates!
