Parent Leadership Council

The purpose of the PLC is to encourage parental involvement and participation in the implementation of the ESOL program and achievement initiative as well other school wide committees to represent the ESOL students at our school.
At our meetings we discuss such topics as the district and Florida State Sunshine Standards, program model offered here at Wekiva, tutoring opportunities, information regarding all standardized testing, graduation requirements, cultural adaptation, and others as needed.
Invitations are sent home with the students in English and in the heritage language when possible, and reminder are given via Connect Ed.
Parents may also volunteer to join the District PLC Steering Committee.
